The Dutch broadcaster BNN plans to show a new reality show in which 3 contestants must compete for a chance to win a terminally ill woman's kidney. A few transplant patient organizations and politicians object to the show, stating, "This is going in the direction of selling organs." In the Netherlands there are strict rules regarding organ transplants, one of them being that people are not allowed to choose who gets their organs. The only instance in which donor know the patients is if they are related in some way.
